Silver Ball Century - ep. 46 - Gotta Go Fast
There's a lot of interesting pinball to play from 1986, which will take us three episodes to cover, and the first one out of the gate is the absolute classic High Speed.
One of the notable things about High Speed is the way that it tells a story, through its lights and sounds: you are Steve Ritchie and you're speeding away from the cops in your expensive car. You hear cop radio noises from them during the game; if you score the jackpot in multiball, you hear the flummoxed cops saying "He got away." "He WHAT?!"
Don't drive dangerously, but at least pinball says ACAB.
Later in this episode, we have the curious confluence of two Spanish pinball machines about basketball: Inder's Canasta '86 and IDSA's Basketball.
