Silver Ball Century ep. 27 - Late 1978
It's the end of 1978, and these table names are getting long! I don't have the exact plan for next week yet anyway, so at least there's room in the layout.
The finale of 1978 is going to be Williams' big solid-state hit, Flash. It sold close to 20,000 copies, at which point Williams ended its production run in order to "leave the market wanting". This is a remarkable success for an original theme, and I understand that part of it is the machine's attention-getting capability for bright lights and intense electronic sounds. And it's a reasonably fun layout, Steve Ritchie's first design for Williams.
Silver Ball Century is tonight (Thursday, June 12) at 8pm Eastern, on twitch.tv/arborelia.
