Silver Ball Century ep. 25 - Early 1978 - All These Worlds Are Yours
It's the start of 1978, and it's a golden age of solid-state pinball. And somehow, even though we're just playing chronologically, six of these tables seem to fall into an inadvertent theme that takes us on a tour of several "worlds" and the stars.
I want to highlight Middle Earth, the Atari machine that has nothing to do with Lord of the Rings but has the most asymmetrical flippers ever; the EM throwback Neptune, which if Gottlieb had continued their "Verb-A-Card" naming scheme could have been named "Fish-A-Card"; and Stars, a brutal spinner-ripping classic that is beloved and be-hated in tournaments.
The previous few episodes have been on Thursdays, but this week's episode is Tuesday, May 27, at 8:30pm Eastern, on twitch.tv/arborelia.
